
A Biography of Ras Boomba
Ras Boomba is a Reggae Musician from Ghana Africa. Born in Cape Coast Ghana in November 1972, Nathan Kuma aka Ras Boomba is one of the Modern Versatile Reggae Artists still teaching the Art.
He had his early education in Cape Coast and started learning to play the guitar as a teenager in Mfantsipim School. A great fan of Country, Sentimental and Jazz music, Ras Boomba turned to Reggae Roots in the late 80s, playing in youth bands and performing to crowds for the first time at Cape Coast University Auditorium in 1991, interacting with established international Reggae acts of the era like Roots Anabo and Kente. A long spell of study of the music craft followed while he studied Drawing and Painting at the University of Science and Technology.
In 2006 Ras Boomba left Academia and moved to Accra after participating in the Africa Unite Concert, playing as a guitarist and vocalist in Reggae Bands across Ghana, Togo and Burkina Faso. He currently lives in Battor in the Volta Region of Ghana.
